Okay, so, the real me: I’m in my 50s. I live in the UK. I’m a husband and a father and proud of my Scottish roots. Presently I work as a change consultant, helping large businesses and organisations adapt to planned transformation and unplanned disruption. I’ve been doing this for more than ten years. Prior to this I worked in marketing, public relations and journalism. I’ve been a news reporter, magazine editor and a travel writer. I’ve worked for some of the largest – and most interesting – companies in the world. And some of the smallest and least interesting too.

Creative writing, for myself (that is to say, I have never been published before, or sought to do so before now), has been part of my life for nearly twenty-five years. A decade ago I completed a creative writing course at the University of East Anglia (UEA), in the United Kingdom.

Fast forward and I was lucky enough to work behind the scenes on a major Netflix production, on set and on location, a few years back and this, along with other interests and aspects of my life, has informed my first novel, due for publication in 2025.

My interests range from the unfolding UAP (UFO) narrative, particularly in the US, through to running, creative writing, literature, fiction and journalism. I’m curious about human beings and super curious about the Universe.

I try to be a diverse writer, stylistically and thematically, and I write across genres ranging from satire to literary, speculative to thriller.

Lastly, I oftentimes get asked about the orange baseball cap. All I can say is it’s a personal thing, and that really is all I can find to say about it! Orange is my colour though.
